5 Things to Keep Your Eye on this Black Friday

1. A Ted Baker coat.

My Ted Baker wool and cashmere blend wrap coat is the jewel of my clothing collection. It still looks stunning 2 years later and I bought it in a neutral camel shade so I can wear it with everything. Sadly it doesn't get as much use now I'm working from home, but once places are open again I promise you this baby will be coming with me everywhere. These coats are perfect to take you to the office, to the shops, to the restaurant and more. Ted Baker had massive discounts of 30% off in previous years so keep an eye on them this November 27th.

2. A pair of over-the-knee boots.

If you've watched any of my YouTube videos, particularly the above video about 5 ways to style over-the-knee boots, you'll know how much I love my Miss Selfridge ones. As my legs are not slim, I never thought I'd wear over-the-knee boots, but trust me, there's a pair out there for everyone. The high street have some great options but if it's in your budget then a pair from Stuart Weitzman would be recommended by many influencers out there - net-a-porter.com have had great Black Friday discounts in previous years.

3. That designer handbag you've been dreaming about.

It's tempting on Black Friday to opt for quantity over quality because sales emails and discount codes are coming out of your ears, but if you can afford it, now is the perfect time to invest in a really good quality handbag. The classic staples like the Mulberry Bayswater in neutral colours that go with everything rarely if ever go into the sale, but on Black Friday, stores and websites often have percentages off ALL their items, not just seasonal, which means it's the one time of year that you can likely grab a deal on these timeless pieces. John Lewis is worth watching as they don't do their own sales but match the best price on the market.

4. Cookware or tech items.

Bit unusual to be talking about these items on this blog, but Black Friday is a great time of year to treat yourself to the latest gadgets. Like the classic designer items, these electrical items rarely go into the sale the rest of the year and with Christmas coming up, they make great gifts. I've got my eye on a handheld blender from Smeg, but wouldn't an Amazon Alexa be a great gift for your dad or brother?

5. Luxury beauty products.

Beauty brands don't always do discounts on Black Friday but they often do bulk buy deals, so it's a good time to stock up on those make-up and skincare items that you'll be buying throughout the year anyway. These brands will also have their Christmas gift sets and beauty advent calendars out now, which are a great way to save on multiple products for yourself or to treat a friend for Christmas.
