If you follow me on YouTube, you may have seen that a few weeks ago I actually hired an online personal shopper, which made me feel very glam indeed! It's a really clever idea where you sign up to the website and answer questions on your style, budget, body shape and so on and then Stitch Fix send you a mystery box containing 5 items that they think you'll like.
The awesome thing about Stitch Fix is that the service itself only costs £10 but if you decide to keep any of the items, you get that £10 deducted!
Here's my YouTube video if you want to see my first impressions of each item - https://youtu.be/evAU90zrQOw
Read on to see 3 of the 5 items Stitch Fix sent me and what I thought of them, as well as my overall thoughts on their return process in case you are interested in using Stitch Fix!
Stitch Fix sent me a LOT of knitwear! In fact, 4 out of the 5 items they sent were jumpers, which I am not mad about at all! I love knitwear so was really pleased to have so much choice. I'm glad they sent me items to mix and match with the clothes I already own rather than picking a head-to-toe outfit for me.
The first jumper is a black knit with sheer puff sleeves embroidered with black flowers from Mint Velvet. I think the quality of this jumper is fabulous and it fits so beautifully on the waist. However, I just felt that the puff sleeves were too much so I sent this one back.
I love the asymmetric colour-blocking on this next jumper. I actually really loved the jumper, which was also from Mint Velvet and again felt like excellent quality. There was nothing Stitch Fix sent me that felt like poor quality so I was really pleased with them on that front.
The only issue I had with this jumper was the price. I just felt £79 was too high for such a basic, casual piece and therefore had to return this one.
I'm so happy that I decided to keep this white boatneck jumper from Vero Moda! Or a blouse, as it's described, but trust me, it's a jumper! It's such an essential for this time of year, being such a good transitional piece with the 3/4 sleeves and thin material. It also looks so elegant and chic whatever you pair it with and I think that's down to the white colour (always looks chic, because most people are too scared to wear it!) and the classic yet unusual boatneck neckline.
I love pairing this with pretty much everything in my wardrobe! At Christmas, I'm definitely going to be wearing it with the silver sequin skirt I showed in my video.
So what did I think of Stitch Fix overall? I thought they were really good. I loved the excitement of opening a fashion package and not having a clue what I would find. I loved the fact that the service is so affordable and that you actually get that deducted if you buy something (so the Vero Moda jumper only cost me £18 in the end). I think they paid attention to my instructions and didn't just send me a box of random clothes, they seemed like they were carefully picked out. So yes, I would definitely recommend Stitch Fix!
