Cold weather... it's not usually something to get excited about but I can't wait for the seasons to change. Although I love pretty summer dresses, I know full well that earthier, more autumnal tones and less revealing silhouettes suit me better. I'm therefore fully looking forward to switching up my wardrobe for Autumn/Winter! (In fact, I've done it already and of course I filmed it for my YouTube channel, so don't forget to watch my new video this Sunday at 9am. While you're there, I'd love it if you could leave a like, comment and subscribe!)
My colour palette changes when we move into Autumn/Winter and that's another reason why I'm really looking forward to the transitional period. Autumnal colours are just stunning - I can't wait to inject more and more burgundy into my wardrobe. It's also such a wonderful colour when the weather gets even colder and we find ourselves in winter - so Christmassy! I especially love wearing burgundy with rose gold jewellery for Christmas.
I've already started wearing my over-the-knee boots and my ankle boots again and I've also treated myself to a pair of faux snakeskin knee-high boots. Boots, boots, boots! Aren't they just BOOT-iful? Bring on thick cosy socks and not having to paint your toenails or shave your legs.
Another reason I'm looking forward to Autumn? My wedding! If you like wedding content, make sure you're following my blog and subscribed to my YouTube channel as I'll be sharing some of my plans (and fashion choices!) on both.
Before that, though, there'll be evenings curled up in front of The Great British Bake-Off with a sticky toffee pudding flavoured hot chocolate from Whittard of Chelsea, snuggling with the dog while my feet stay toasty and warm with a lovely fluffy pair of slippers. I feel like Autumn is the perfect time to treat yourself to some nice loungewear and/or nightwear.
And of course the best thing about Autumn... the knits! My jumpers are some of my favourite clothes to wear and I'm so pleased that I'm able to wear them again. I might even do a cosy knits haul on YouTube soon!
